1. Who we are

WeatherGPX is operated by aone communication. For any data-related request, contact: info@aonecommunication.ch

2. Data we collect

Account data (registered users only)

• Email address and display name
• Profile picture URL (Google sign-in only)

Route data

• GPX files you upload — geographic coordinates, elevation, timestamps
• Weather forecasts fetched for your routes, stored alongside the route
• Departure times you set

Technical data

• A session cookie (wgpx_session) used solely to enforce hourly rate limits

3. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the WeatherGPX service: displaying weather forecasts along your GPX routes and syncing your tracks across your devices. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

4. Third-party services

• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — route coordinates are sent to fetch weather forecasts. No personal data is shared.
• Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing for subscriptions. Your email address and payment details are handled by Stripe under their privacy policy.
• Google (google.com) — optional sign-in via Google OAuth. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Infomaniak (infomaniak.com) — hosting provider based in Geneva, Switzerland.

5. Data storage and retention

All data is stored on servers hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland. Account and route data is retained until you delete your account. Anonymous session data (rate limit counters) is automatically deleted after 2 hours.

6. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, and permanently delete your personal data.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the account panel within the app. For any other request, contact info@aonecommunication.ch.

7. Cookies

We use one first-party session cookie (wgpx_session) to enforce hourly rate limits. No tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics are used.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via the app. Continued use of WeatherGPX after changes constitutes acceptance.
