.gpx file from your device. Your track appears on the map.Fetches weather for each sampled point along your GPX route. The forecast accounts for your estimated arrival time at each point, so you see the weather you'll actually encounter — not just the weather at departure.
Fetches current weather for the area currently visible on the map, without needing a track. Useful for a quick overview of conditions in a region.
The departure date and time determine when you start the route. WeatherGPX adds your estimated travel time to get the forecast at each point. A 10 km point at 20 km/h gets the forecast for 30 minutes after departure, and so on.
If your GPX file contains timestamps, those are used directly. Otherwise, speed and activity type from Settings are used.
WeatherGPX downsamples your track to one weather point every N km (default 1 km). A shorter interval gives more detail but uses more of your hourly fetch quota. For a 50 km route at 1 km intervals, that's 50 weather fetches — counted as one update.
To keep the service free and fair, weather updates are rate-limited per hour:
The limit resets at the top of each hour.
Without an account, your tracks are saved in your browser only — they are lost if you clear browser data. With a free account, your tracks and settings are synced to the cloud and available on any device you sign in to.

WeatherGPX works offline. The app, your tracks, and previously fetched weather are all available without an internet connection. Map tiles are cached as you view them — if you browsed the route area while online, the map will display correctly offline too.
