Voice: set up your room
This page is for the person who creates the group. It takes about five minutes, once, at home. After that every ride is one tap.
W GROUP does not carry your voice itself. It opens Discord, a free app made for talking in groups, which in our own tests sounded better than the dedicated motorcycle intercom apps and reconnects far faster after a tunnel. You create a room there once, paste its link into W GROUP, and everyone in your group gets a Voice button.
Do this at home, the night before. Creating a Discord account needs an email confirmation. That is not something to discover in a car park with your gloves on.
1. Get Discord

Install Discord from the App Store or Google Play. It is free.

Create an account: an email address, a password, a username. Confirm the email they send you.
2. Create your room
In Discord, a server is just your own private space. It is not a machine and it costs nothing. You make one, and it stays yours for every future trip.

On the left edge, under your list of icons, tap the + button.

Choose Create My Own, then For me and my friends.

Give it a name (for example: Bikers) and tap Create Server.

Your new server already contains a voice channel called General, under the heading Voice Channels. That is your room. You have nothing else to create.
Optional: to rename the room, long-press the voice channel and choose Edit Channel. To make a second one (a different group of friends, say), long-press Voice Channels and choose Create Channel, then pick Voice.
3. Copy the invite link

Long-press the voice channel itself, then tap Invite.

Tap Edit invite link (Discord offers a link that dies after 7 days by default).

Set Expire After: Never and Max Number of Uses: No Limit, then Save.

Tap Copy Link. You now have something like discord.gg/abcd123.
The one mistake to avoid: create the invite on the voice channel, not from the server menu. An invite made at server level drops your friends into the text chat, and they then have to find the room on their own.
4. Paste it into W GROUP

In W GROUP, tap Create group as usual.

Turn on With voice. The panel stays open on a field.

Paste your link and save. Everyone in the group now sees a Voice button.

Share your W GROUP link exactly as before. There is still only one link to send.
Next time: your phone remembers the room. On your next group the switch is already on and the link already filled, so voice costs you nothing at all.
Good to know
Do I have to redo this every ride?
No. The Discord room is permanent. W GROUP groups expire after 24 hours, your room does not, and the same link works forever.
What if a friend has no Discord?
When he taps Voice he will be asked to create an account, which is not something to do at the roadside. Send him the short member page the night before.
Can I turn voice off for one ride?
Yes. Leave the With voice switch off when you create the group: no button appears for anyone, and your link is still remembered for next time.
Who is in charge of the room?
You are. It is your Discord server, so you can mute or remove someone there. W GROUP has no control over what happens inside Discord.
Can I change the link afterwards?
Yes. As the group creator you have a Voice link row in the panel: edit it, or clear it to remove the button for everyone.
Do both apps run at the same time?
Yes. Discord keeps the call going in the background while W GROUP stays on screen with the map.
La voix : préparez votre salon
Cette page s'adresse à celui qui crée le groupe. Comptez cinq minutes, une seule fois, à la maison. Ensuite, chaque sortie tient en une touche.
W GROUP ne transporte pas la voix lui-même. Il ouvre Discord, une application gratuite faite pour parler à plusieurs, qui dans nos propres essais sonnait mieux que les applications d'intercom moto et se reconnecte bien plus vite après un tunnel. Vous y créez un salon une fois, vous collez son lien dans W GROUP, et tout le groupe voit apparaître un bouton Voix.
À faire à la maison, la veille. La création d'un compte Discord demande une confirmation par e-mail. Ce n'est pas à découvrir sur un parking, avec les gants.
1. Installer Discord

Installez Discord depuis l'App Store ou Google Play. C'est gratuit.

Créez un compte : une adresse e-mail, un mot de passe, un pseudo. Confirmez l'e-mail reçu.
2. Créer votre salon
Dans Discord, un serveur est simplement votre espace privé. Ce n'est pas une machine et cela ne coûte rien. Vous en créez un, il reste le vôtre pour tous les voyages à venir.

Sur le bord gauche, sous vos icônes, touchez le bouton +.

Choisissez Créer le mien, puis Pour moi et mes amis.

Donnez-lui un nom (par exemple : Bikers) et touchez Créer un serveur.

Votre serveur contient déjà un salon vocal nommé Général, sous le titre Salons vocaux. C'est votre salon. Vous n'avez rien d'autre à créer.
Facultatif : pour le renommer, appuyez longuement sur le salon vocal et choisissez Modifier le salon. Pour en créer un second (une autre bande d'amis), appuyez longuement sur Salons vocaux, choisissez Créer un salon, puis Vocal.
3. Copier le lien d'invitation

Appuyez longuement sur le salon vocal lui-même, puis touchez Inviter.

Touchez Modifier le lien d'invitation (par défaut, Discord propose un lien qui expire au bout de 7 jours).

Réglez Expire après : Jamais et Nombre d'utilisations : Illimité, puis Enregistrer.

Touchez Copier le lien. Vous obtenez quelque chose comme discord.gg/abcd123.
La seule erreur à éviter : créez l'invitation depuis le salon vocal, pas depuis le menu du serveur. Une invitation créée au niveau du serveur dépose vos amis dans le salon écrit, et ils doivent ensuite trouver le salon vocal tout seuls.
4. Le coller dans W GROUP

Dans W GROUP, touchez Créer un groupe comme d'habitude.

Activez Avec la voix. Le panneau reste ouvert sur un champ.

Collez votre lien et enregistrez. Tout le groupe voit maintenant un bouton Voix.

Partagez votre lien W GROUP exactement comme avant. Il n'y a toujours qu'un seul lien à envoyer.
La prochaine fois : votre téléphone se souvient du salon. Au groupe suivant, l'interrupteur est déjà activé et le lien déjà rempli : la voix ne vous coûte plus rien.
Bon à savoir
Faut-il tout refaire à chaque sortie ?
Non. Le salon Discord est permanent. Les groupes W GROUP expirent après 24 heures, pas votre salon, et le même lien fonctionne indéfiniment.
Et si un ami n'a pas Discord ?
En touchant Voix, on lui demandera de créer un compte, ce qui ne se fait pas au bord de la route. Envoyez-lui la veille la courte page pour les participants.
Puis-je faire une sortie sans la voix ?
Oui. Laissez l'interrupteur Avec la voix désactivé à la création : personne ne voit de bouton, et votre lien reste mémorisé pour la fois suivante.
Qui commande dans le salon ?
Vous. C'est votre serveur Discord : vous pouvez y couper le micro de quelqu'un ou l'exclure. W GROUP n'a aucun contrôle sur ce qui se passe dans Discord.
Puis-je changer le lien ensuite ?
Oui. En tant que créateur du groupe, vous avez une ligne Lien vocal dans le panneau : modifiez-la, ou videz-la pour retirer le bouton à tout le monde.
Les deux applications tournent-elles en même temps ?
Oui. Discord garde la conversation en arrière-plan pendant que W GROUP reste à l'écran avec la carte.

W GROUP überträgt die Stimme nicht selbst. Es öffnet Discord, eine kostenlose App zum Sprechen in Gruppen, die in unseren eigenen Tests besser klang als die speziellen Motorrad-Intercom-Apps und nach einem Tunnel deutlich schneller zurückkam. Du richtest dort einmal einen Raum ein, fügst dessen Link in W GROUP ein, und alle in deiner Gruppe bekommen einen Sprach-Knopf.
Mach das zu Hause, am Abend vorher. Ein Discord-Konto braucht eine Bestätigung per E-Mail. Das will man nicht auf einem Parkplatz mit Handschuhen herausfinden.
1. Discord holen

Installiere Discord aus dem App Store oder von Google Play. Es ist kostenlos.

Erstelle ein Konto: E-Mail-Adresse, Passwort, Benutzername. Bestätige die zugeschickte E-Mail.
2. Deinen Raum erstellen
Ein Server ist bei Discord einfach dein eigener privater Bereich. Das ist keine Maschine und kostet nichts. Du legst einen an, und er bleibt für alle künftigen Touren deiner.

Am linken Rand, unter deinen Symbolen, tippe auf das +.

Wähle Eigenen erstellen, dann Für mich und meine Freunde.

Gib ihm einen Namen (zum Beispiel: Bikers) und tippe auf Server erstellen.

Dein neuer Server enthält bereits einen Sprachkanal namens Allgemein, unter der Überschrift Sprachkanäle. Das ist dein Raum. Mehr musst du nicht anlegen.
Optional: zum Umbenennen den Sprachkanal lange drücken und Kanal bearbeiten wählen. Für einen zweiten Raum (etwa eine andere Runde Freunde) Sprachkanäle lange drücken, Kanal erstellen wählen und dann Sprache.
3. Den Einladungslink kopieren

Drücke lange auf den Sprachkanal selbst, dann tippe auf Einladen.

Tippe auf Einladungslink bearbeiten (standardmäßig bietet Discord einen Link, der nach 7 Tagen verfällt).

Stelle Läuft ab nach: Nie und Maximale Anzahl an Nutzungen: Kein Limit ein, dann Speichern.

Tippe auf Link kopieren. Du hast jetzt so etwas wie discord.gg/abcd123.
Der eine Fehler, den es zu vermeiden gilt: erstelle die Einladung im Sprachkanal, nicht über das Servermenü. Eine Einladung auf Serverebene wirft deine Freunde in den Textchat, und sie müssen den Raum dann selbst suchen.
4. In W GROUP einfügen

Tippe in W GROUP wie gewohnt auf Gruppe erstellen.

Schalte Mit Sprache ein. Das Panel bleibt bei einem Eingabefeld offen.

Füge deinen Link ein und speichere. Alle in der Gruppe sehen nun einen Sprach-Knopf.

Teile deinen W GROUP-Link genau wie bisher. Es bleibt bei einem Link.
Beim nächsten Mal: dein Telefon merkt sich den Raum. Bei der nächsten Gruppe ist der Schalter schon an und der Link schon eingetragen, Sprache kostet dich dann gar nichts mehr.
Gut zu wissen
Muss ich das vor jeder Ausfahrt wiederholen?
Nein. Der Discord-Raum ist dauerhaft. W GROUP-Gruppen laufen nach 24 Stunden ab, dein Raum nicht, und derselbe Link funktioniert immer weiter.
Was, wenn ein Freund kein Discord hat?
Beim Tippen auf Sprache wird er aufgefordert, ein Konto zu erstellen, und das macht man nicht am Straßenrand. Schick ihm am Abend vorher die kurze Seite für Mitglieder.
Kann ich für eine Ausfahrt auf Sprache verzichten?
Ja. Lass beim Erstellen den Schalter Mit Sprache aus: niemand sieht einen Knopf, und dein Link bleibt für das nächste Mal gespeichert.
Wem gehört der Raum?
Dir. Es ist dein Discord-Server, du kannst dort jemanden stummschalten oder entfernen. W GROUP hat keinerlei Kontrolle darüber, was innerhalb von Discord passiert.
Kann ich den Link später ändern?
Ja. Als Ersteller der Gruppe hast du im Panel eine Zeile Sprach-Link: bearbeite sie, oder leere sie, um den Knopf für alle zu entfernen.
Laufen beide Apps gleichzeitig?
Ja. Discord hält das Gespräch im Hintergrund, während W GROUP mit der Karte auf dem Bildschirm bleibt.

W GROUP non trasporta la voce da solo. Apre Discord, un'app gratuita fatta per parlare in gruppo, che nelle nostre prove suonava meglio delle app da intercom per moto e tornava molto più in fretta dopo una galleria. Ci crei una stanza una volta, ne incolli il link in W GROUP, e tutti nel gruppo ottengono un pulsante Voce.
Fallo a casa, la sera prima. Creare un account Discord richiede una conferma via e-mail. Non è cosa da scoprire in un parcheggio, con i guanti.

4. Incollarlo in W GROUP

In W GROUP tocca Crea gruppo come al solito.

Condividi il tuo link W GROUP esattamente come prima. C'è sempre un solo link da inviare.
La prossima volta: il telefono ricorda la stanza. Al gruppo successivo l'interruttore è già attivo e il link già compilato, quindi la voce non ti costa più nulla.
Buono a sapersi
Devo rifare tutto a ogni uscita?
No. La stanza Discord è permanente. I gruppi W GROUP scadono dopo 24 ore, la tua stanza no, e lo stesso link funziona per sempre.
E se un amico non ha Discord?
Toccando Voce gli verrà chiesto di creare un account, cosa che non si fa sul ciglio della strada. Mandagli la sera prima la breve pagina per i partecipanti.
Posso fare un'uscita senza voce?
Sì. Lascia disattivato l'interruttore Con la voce alla creazione: nessuno vedrà un pulsante, e il tuo link resta memorizzato per la volta successiva.
Chi comanda nella stanza?
Tu. È il tuo server Discord: puoi silenziare o rimuovere qualcuno. W GROUP non ha alcun controllo su ciò che accade dentro Discord.
Posso cambiare il link in seguito?
Sì. Come creatore del gruppo hai nel pannello una riga Link vocale: modificala, oppure svuotala per togliere il pulsante a tutti.
Le due app funzionano insieme?

Mantén pulsado el propio canal de voz y toca Invitar.

Toca Editar enlace de invitación (por defecto Discord ofrece un enlace que caduca a los 7 días).

Ajusta Caduca después de: Nunca y Número máximo de usos: Sin límite, y luego Guardar.

Toca Copiar enlace. Ya tienes algo como discord.gg/abcd123.
El único error que hay que evitar: crea la invitación desde el canal de voz, no desde el menú del servidor. Una invitación hecha a nivel de servidor deja a tus amigos en el chat de texto, y luego tienen que encontrar la sala por su cuenta.
4. Pegarlo en W GROUP

En W GROUP, toca Crear grupo como siempre.

Activa Con voz. El panel se queda abierto sobre un campo.

Pega tu enlace y guarda. Todo el grupo ve ahora un botón Voz.

Comparte tu enlace de W GROUP exactamente como antes. Sigue habiendo un solo enlace que enviar.
La próxima vez: tu teléfono recuerda la sala. En el grupo siguiente el interruptor ya está activado y el enlace ya puesto, así que la voz no te cuesta nada.
Conviene saber
¿Hay que repetir esto en cada salida?
No. La sala de Discord es permanente. Los grupos de W GROUP caducan a las 24 horas, tu sala no, y el mismo enlace sirve siempre.
¿Y si un amigo no tiene Discord?
Al tocar Voz se le pedirá crear una cuenta, y eso no se hace al borde de la carretera. Mándale la noche antes la breve página para participantes.
¿Puedo hacer una salida sin voz?
Sí. Deja el interruptor Con voz desactivado al crear el grupo: nadie verá botón alguno, y tu enlace sigue guardado para la próxima vez.
¿Quién manda en la sala?
Tú. Es tu servidor de Discord: puedes silenciar o expulsar a alguien. W GROUP no tiene ningún control sobre lo que ocurre dentro de Discord.
¿Puedo cambiar el enlace después?
Sí. Como creador del grupo tienes en el panel una fila Enlace de voz: edítala, o vacíala para quitar el botón a todos.
¿Funcionan las dos apps a la vez?
Sí. Discord mantiene la conversación en segundo plano mientras W GROUP sigue en pantalla con el mapa.
